Text entered in a search form, such as a name, telephone number, or address, goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. If you send us a message, we receive the details you include and use them to answer you.

Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs containing an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps us maintain the service and see which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use the Data
We use this limited information to operate the site, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve content. We neither sell a visitor list nor create profiles about individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government portals, Union County and North Carolina offices, library collections, and outside search services. Information submitted after following a link is controlled by the destination's policy. The same is true of sponsored search results, which come from a third-party provider.

Vendors that host or support Monroe People Search process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Safeguarding Information
An encrypted connection serves the site, and logs are kept only as long as needed for the uses listed here. Since visitors do not create accounts, Monroe People Search holds no user password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor appears to have submitted such information so it can be deleted.

Rights to access, correct, or delete personal data depend on the law where you live. The Monroe research did not identify a generally applicable North Carolina consumer-privacy statute to cite here, so those rights are stated without an unsupported citation.
